Glenn E. Avena

Attorney Glenn E. Avena has been in the legal arena for more than twelve years. His practice is focused on serving clients in personal injury and wrongful death cases, divorce and custody matters, criminal defense, and adoption.  Glenn is also a military veteran, having served for four years in the United States Army.

My practice is centered on providing access to justice, primarily to those who cannot afford the high fees often charged by downtown lawyers.  I serve the working class and their families, as well as university students, in a variety of legal matters.  I offer affordable legal fees, and I accept credit card payments.

I focus on personal service.  If you retain me, I will be involved in every aspect of your case, and I will be interacting with you throughout the duration of your case.

English or Spanish

I am fluent in Spanish.  If you prefer, my interaction with you can be primarily in Spanish.

My Work Ethic

In injury and wrongful death matters, I work tenaciously towards getting full and fair compensation for clients.  I do not believe in a quick settlement approach to personal injury litigation; instead, I work to increase the value of a case to clients by doing the difficult work to prove all aspects of liability and damages.  If defendants are not willing to settle for full and fair compensation, I am well-prepared to take their case to trial so that a jury may determine fault and damages.

In divorce and criminal defense matters, my objectives are determined by my clients.  For divorce matters, I seek to obtain client objectives first through negotiation and developing creative solutions; leaving matters to a judge should be the last option.  Similarly, in criminal defense matters, I work diligently to get a client the best results possible based upon their circumstances, and the strategy that they have chosen.

My office is on a main bus route, and I would look forward to meeting with you at your convenience.  I offer weeknight and weekend appointments, and can also meet with you at your home or another location.

Pro Bono/Volunteer Work

I am proud to be a volunteer attorney for the Dane County Family Law Assistance Center (FLAC).
